The Lotus Seven is a Melbourne based band that plays a mixture of pop and jazz music with funky horn lines as well as original compositions. The Lotus Seven started out at the end of last year. Our trombonist and vocalist Giorgia Smith brought together 6 other extremely talented musicians to form the band you will hear on Saturday October 25th at the Penny Black. Our horn section is comprised of Riley Brennan on trumpet, Conor Boussioutas on saxophone and Giorgia Smith on trombone. The rhythm sections include Khanh Pham on piano, Pacey Dunshea on bass, Zoe Kinsella on drums and Keira Murugasu on guitar and lead vocals. Our set will include some incredible original charts written by different members of the band, as well as a few covers. We are excited to share with you more original work as we continue to perform at venues around Melbourne and we hope to record an EP in the new year!
