WANNA GIG AT THE PENNY BLACK?
Welcome to The Penny Black gig info page. The Penny Black has live music Friday and Saturday nights from 9.30pm-12.30pm and starting in June Sunday Sessions from 5pm-7pm. We try to keep all gigs free entry and only have a door charge under special circumstances. Here’s what to do:- Send the band booker – Jody Galvin, an email containing a
listenable
link of your music, a brief blurb of band info/recent gigs &
contact email and phone number. Please email pennyblackgigs@gmail.com
- Jody will respond that she has received your email, once
she has had
a chance to listen she will get in touch if she wants to go ahead and
book your act. PLEASE be patient, we receive numerous gig requests each
week and we do our best to respond asap.
- Alternatively you can drop a CD into the bar and Jody will
listen to
it.
Please don’t send multiple emails or phone the pub, we prefer all communication regarding gigs to be initially done via the email.
If you have been booked to do a gig at The Penny Black, we expect bands to drop in 4-6 posters to the venue at least 2 weeks prior to the gig and to also actively promote their gigs. The Penny Black will include you in our own promotion (Facebook, Beat Magazine Ad) and Penny Black posters that we produce.
The Penny Black will provide an experienced sound engineer on the night and drink cards for each musician performing on the night
